June 2013 is when I finish paying for the car I took from my brother. We now have fully paid and fully owned. That is what life has been after the amusement park job I had back in 2004. I resigned 2008 and 4 years of work did not give me an inch to buying our own dream car but today, it all came true. Continue Reading It’s Been 5 Years – A Car After the Amusement Job…

Outsourcing Principles Applied to Amusement Park Services

  • Basic

One of the basic principles in the outsourcing industry is acquiring services that are far more cheaper and cost-effective compared to just hiring in-house employees for your business. Through seo outsourcing, you can avail of privileges that enable you to concentrate more in the core mission of your company. The same basic principle applies to amusement services in terms of the technical category. I came up with this idea right after i wrote a post prior to this one because i am previously writing a post on my own other blog site about the “outsourcing industry” which is related to “Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing”.

  • Outsourcing Services

As i have said, the basic principles in the outsourcing industry can be applied to amusement services because i know that these days are truly one of the most difficult times that an amusement company could come up with the right personnel to do the technical repair aspects of machines. In fact, in my job, we have to train neophytes in the field of electronics for almost a year before we could come up with a skilled and qualified technician for our amusement machines. The shortage in technicians has led me to form a basic relation to my outsourcing posts before which is about gaining benefits from outsourced service providers. This is the most basic form of principle in the outsourcing industry that correlates and coincides with the need of every amusement company for skilled technicians.

  • What You Will Gain by  Outsourcing Technical Service

For those amusement owners of small businesses, if you cannot provide yourself  with the quality works of professional technicians, then, i suggest that you go for some outsourced services in terms of repairs of your machines. This way, you could also benefit in the implementation of such technique. That is, you could concentrate on other aesthetics and physical attributes to improve in sales. You could hire better management teams and staff and not have to worry much about the technical aspect. You can even allot much of that quality time and effort in marketing and promotion. You can go looking for some other ways to provide the quality services that your machines need in order to operate and add up to the income that you are not obtaining before. Lastly, you can say goodbye to to worries on purchasing the parts yourself or hiring a purchaser because most of the parts you are going to need can be provided by the technical outsourced service provider. This would depend of course to the contracts that you can agree with the other party.

  • Time, Possibilities and When to Back Out

These are just some of the possibilities that could open up for you and your business if you could find a way to implement the same basic principles that the outsourcing industry is currently following as a trend and revolutionary process to improve their business. Most of all the best benefit that you could achieve in outsourcing for a technical service is “TIME”. You could have all the time in the world to spend to more important things within your control to improve the return of investment in your business. It would really not be any loss for you if you try for once and if you don’t like the idea at all after some factual experience, then you could decide to back up and go for another way. The important thing is you can see what options you have other that feeling hopeless in terms of amusement machine repair is concerned.

After reading this post about the relevance and importance of the basic principle on the outsourcing industry and thought of how you can adopt it in your search for the amusement services that would fit your business, i’m pretty sure you’ll have more time watching your favorite movies, news and sports. You can even watch the live action on the NBA arena.

Amusement Machine Repair, Service and Parts

August 12, 2006 at 4:24 pm | Posted in Amusement Parks Jobs | Leave a comment

The status of the amusement industry in the Philippines is in its slowest rate of development, repairs and maintenance wise. Why have i come to this conclusion? It is simply because i believe that for having been a skilled and qualified amusement machine technician in a major participating amusement industry in the Philippines ( Tom’s World Amusement Corporation ) for almost three years now, i never saw such enormous flow of investment in terms of maintenance, repairs and service.

I can only attribute this expenditures to the quality of the imported amusement machines that mostly come from other neighboring Asian Countries. These surplus machines are mostly in a state where the previous owner has already earned a great deal of amount of cash maybe even triple or ten times the original price which means that they are the kind and type of machines that would require humongous investments in terms of repairs, maintenance and hard work for the Filipino skilled technicians like me.

The difficulty in repairing these machines has reached up to a level that if you are not as skiled as you have to be in repairing the said machines, you wouldn’t do any good for the industry in any way. I was really lucky that i do not belong to those who they call as “screw driver technicians” who came to be called as one because all they know as a tool for the technician is probably just a screw driver and presto, repairing becomes a forte.

Along my employment in the amusement industry, i learned by talking with other fellow technicians from our company and from other existing companies that venture in the same business is that repairs is really a hard earned profession these days because there is a great deal of deficit and shortage by the numbers in mostly every amusement places located in every mall here in the Philippines. Some small amusements even employ unqualified servicemen which later on leads to devastation and destruction and left – alone machines which to my point of view as i go around when properly maintained with the right finances would otherwise have been more profitable. This a far better option rather that just being junked while in state that it can still be acquiring a significant income. I pity those small amusements because they do not even seem to know or recognize the value of maintaining all amusement machines through what we call in our team of technically inclined personnel as “preventive maintainance“.

The owners of the said small amusements are content in taking for granted this basic need of any amusement machine knowing that their state and condition is as what i have mentioned before as third class or almost devastated. They do not seem to envision that by providing the proper maintenance and requirements of the said machines, they also earn a great deal of money and provide their business a higher return of investment. If only they realize this importance, then they would have a place for the growth of their business on a step by step basis.

For the benefit of those small amusement owners, i would like to offer our teams services for the right price of course but our service will only be available here in the Philippines. For specifics and details you can contact me on my mobile number  or PM or e-mail me at samcasuncadatyahoodotcom . The consultation is free of charge. You can also visit this site regularly because i provide some basic repair tips in some types of amusement machine you can find in the Philippines. We also offer services of purchasing parts and accessories of your choice because we have contacts that give us a pricing that is far more cheaper than what you can buy on regular electronics stores in Metro Manila.

Amusement Management Revamp

August 11, 2006 at 4:42 am | Posted in Amusement Parks Jobs | Leave a comment

Recently, i never expected a thing like this to happen. My supervisor Dennis Oliveros got what he never really expected – being transferred to the Mall of Asia branch of Tom’s World Amusement.

The reason to this revamp is really off the record and only those elite skeletal forces from the Isetann Cinerama Complex branch are knowledgeable of including the South management team in operations. Rumor has it that the original cause of his transfer is about attitude problems and i believe there has been a long on-going battle for the position which he now holds as the branch manager of the said amusement. This quite creates a controversy and conspiracy happening within the ranking officials and management teams of the higher ends.

Currently, a newly opened branch was put to operation last May which had caused so much delays and sufferings in terms of the technical and operations matters. The technical department handled by yours truly, Sam Casuncad with another partner i can only describe as “Jack”. I love calling him by the name and it was me who got him called by it by our other team staffs.

I was able to read the memo passed on from the South HR team and management stating that it will be Ms. Esther Lim who will take over with the operations. She is now currently handling the redemption department and i believe that it will be a great challenge for her to manage the two departments as swift as she could but on the other end, i think it will be some sort of a difficulty with regards to managing the two departments at the same time. I hope she makes it though.

Who will then learn from this lesson? I bet it will be both Sir Dennis and Ma’am Esther at the same time because of the hidden agendas they both have in their minds on my own point of view. For sure it wil be very hard for her to handle and the same thing with Sir Dennis who will surely take another step up because of the new environment and people he will have to deal with although i could sense some of the learning process will be very compromising and challenging to both parties involved.

Sir Dennis on the other hand i’m sure will make it swift as he knows already most of the type of jobs that he does because he came from the rank and file position after all. The fact that he used to be a crew of the said amusement before will tend to make it easier for him to do the job. On the other hand, it will be much more difficult this time for Ms. Esther to do her job all at the same time because the requirement will be big deal and i say really big deal in terms of time, effort, devotion and expertise. Time, effort and devotion is no question with her but the expertise is i believe where she will have to compensate with and come up as a better team leader than the other.

All these happenings in the name of being human and prone to “hunger for power” and if i may say so, jealousy. I just hope they all make it not at our cost or my cost because if that happens, i will make sure they get what they deserve what they want.
